If you are thinking of buying a Deck Railings system that is ready to be attached to the deck then really shop around first.

Deck railings are a safety feature and it is vital therefore that they not only look good but also are very safe.   If you use a ready made ’system’ be sure to follow ALL the directions.

    easy and fast ?????????

    You answered your own question.

OR, you can rip 2″ X 4″ lumber, or buy 2″ X 2″ for posts.
    Then assemble the rail with 4″ X 4″ posts and/or 2″ X 4″.

If you’ve got to ask, don’t.
Those railings are a safety feature, and ‘looks good’ is not enough.
If you use a ’system’ be sure to follow ALL the directions.

In the past we have created our own balusters and railings, they looked good and were safely sturdy. But, we have found that some pre-made railing systems are much easier, quicker, nicer looking, and just as sturdy. We recommend researching and heading this route!
